Aaniin/Boozhoo Indinewemaagenadoog,

Hi/Hello to all of our relatives,

We are excited to welcome you to the new Uniting Three Fires Against Violence website. A space tailored and created to connect, share, learn, and strengthen our collective work to end violence in Michigan Tribal Communities. We strive for this site to be a culturally honoring, survivor centered space where tribal advocates, tribal leaders, survivors, community members, and our partners can find information, connection, and tools for support.

Explore our specific Michigan Tribal Membership page to find resources, recorded trainings, and other supports.

If you’re looking for Training and Technical Assistance, visit our Get Support page and fill out the form so we can support your needs.

Explore the Resources page and watch our Cultural Video Series to hear from indigenous advocates, cultural leaders and wisdom keepers as they share how culture, history, and lived experiences can inform culturally honoring approaches to supporting survivors and strengthening tribal communities.

As this website grows, we will continue expanding resources that elevate indigenous and survivor voices, strengthen advocacy, support healing, and help create the social change necessary to end domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, sex trafficking, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) and other forms of violence in our communities.

We honor our ancestors who came before us; we honor those carrying this work today, and we honor our children, youth, and future generations to come. They are our roots, and the reason we continue this important work.

Chii Miigwech/Miigwetch for being here. We hope you find connection, knowledge, understanding and inspiration, and recognize the role each of us has in supporting survivors, strengthening communities, and working to end violence for generations to come.

With much gratitude,

UTFAV Staff
